STEEP prison release and prison diversion programs

STEEP provides confidential, community-based support as a registered CPOP provider. The services we offer include assessment, treatment program initiation, and ongoing advice and care for individuals experiencing opioid dependence, or other drug and alcohol dependency.

We deliver personalized recovery plans, general healthcare and long-term support to help clients improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.

STEEP Clinic offers 3-month Prison Release and Diversion Programs designed to support individuals transitioning from custody into the community, approaching court, or placed on a community-based order.

The programs focus on stabilisation, engagement in treatment, and safe reintegration into the community. Support may include clinical and addiction treatment reviews, medication management where appropriate, care planning, and assistance connecting with community services.

Our team works collaboratively with Community Corrections, legal representatives, and other support services to ensure coordinated care and communication during this important transition period.

Reviews follow a tapered model, with more frequent appointments initially that gradually reduce based on an individual’s progress, stability, and level of support required.
